Mykola Hadytskyi is an experienced agrarian who has been working in agriculture for over 20 years. He is the development director of ‘Golden Bird’ farm, located in the Mykolaiv region, which cultivates 1,300 hectares of land. The farm specializes in growing grain and oilseed crops, and actively implements modern agricultural technologies to increase productivity.
Since 2005, Mykola has been actively working on modernizing the enterprise, implementing precision farming, automation, and digital technologies. Recently, he began using agricultural drones for crop spraying and cover crop seeding, which significantly reduced fuel costs, plant protection products, and optimized field processes.
Mykola believes that the success of modern agribusiness depends not only on the area of cultivated land but also on the efficient use of resources and modern technologies in agriculture. His main goal is to make the farm as technologically advanced, environmentally sustainable, and economically efficient as possible.
“We see that the future of agriculture lies in precision technologies, automation, and optimization of all processes. Today, it’s not enough to just grow grain – we need to implement innovations that allow us to reduce costs and increase yields,” Mykola notes.
This year, his farm was looking for business funding to purchase training services for agricultural drone management and a generator. They managed to do this through the WEAGRO online agricultural installment service for agribusiness.
“Through the WEAGRO online service, we arranged installment payments for drone training with Agronix company and the purchase of a generator. The training allowed us to work professionally with drones, and the generator ensures autonomous operation of equipment, which is especially important in field conditions,” Mr. Mykola recalls.

How Does WEAGRO Work and why is it Important?
WEAGRO is an online agricultural installment service for agribusiness, through which a farmer can buy products or services with deferred payment. The installment amount for a single agreement can reach up to 2 million hryvnias. Agricultural producers can purchase products from any supplier listed as a partner on the WEAGRO website, or request their supplier to join the online service. The decision on installment is made within 30 minutes. WEAGRO is an important financial tool for small farms. The financing terms, particularly installments, allow avoiding significant financial burden while gaining access to resources necessary for development.
The WEAGRO online service, developed with support from the USAID AGRO Program, has facilitated 116 agreements totaling over 51.9 million UAH since 2024
Installment financing through WEAGRO enabled ‘Golden Bird’ Farm to quickly acquire necessary knowledge and equipment. This allowed not only to optimize costs but also to increase productivity through new approaches to work.
The training provided the farm employees with professional knowledge for working with drones. These technologies enabled the completion of a range of tasks that previously required more time, resources, and physical effort.
Today, ‘Golden Bird’ uses drones for: spraying crops to control pests with minimal impact on the soil, sowing cover crops directly into the already growing main crop. This ensures soil structure preservation and reduces the number of machinery operations in the field.
Why Installment Plans are Important for Farmers
For ‘Golden Bird’, cooperation with WEAGRO allowed them to remain economically efficient in challenging conditions of rising resource costs.
“This year was successful for us, especially thanks to the use of drones. We were able to reduce spraying and seeding costs, optimize resources, and achieve good yield results. However, the increase in resource costs remains a challenge,” noted Mykola Hadytskyi.
According to him, thanks to WEAGRO’s installment plan, they were able to quickly obtain the necessary knowledge and equipment, which allowed them to modernize the farm’s operations. The use of drones became a key step in optimizing business processes.
The farm’s plans include further development of precision farming and expansion of the agricultural drone fleet, as well as seeking new markets for their products. ‘Golden Bird’ Farm plans to acquire additional drones for applying plant protection products and sowing cover crops, which will help further optimize costs and increase yields.
The enterprise is also working on improving the environmental friendliness of its processes, particularly by reducing the use of chemical preparations through more precise application.
To implement these plans, the farm will continue to cooperate with financial services such as WEAGRO, which allows them to quickly find advantageous solutions for financing modern innovative technologies in agriculture.
