Igor Zakomornyi, owner of Zdolshchyna farm, which cultivates 680 hectares of land in the Buryn district of Sumy region. He grows grain and oilseed crops, including corn, wheat, barley, sunflower, and soybeans. This year, he faced the question of where to get funds for installing a flow control system for his sprayer. In the agricultural machinery market, flow control systems are an essential element for effective sprayer use. However, many equipment models are still supplied without these systems, forcing farmers to install them independently. Mr. Igor decided to invest in such a system, which costs approximately 50% of the sprayer’s value.
The farmer didn’t have the financial capability to purchase the system at the height of field operations, but acquaintances recommended applying for installment financing for the flow control system through the WEAGRO online service. It allows farmers and suppliers to conclude a purchase agreement with deferred payment. With this technology, they managed to ensure quality application of products regardless of tractor speed and engine RPM; maintain constant plant protection product application rates across the entire field perimeter; control boom sections to avoid overlaps and gaps during PPP application.
“Investing in precision means investing in the future. Thanks to WEAGRO, I got the opportunity to install a flow control system without financial strain during peak season. Now products are applied uniformly, without overconsumption and crop losses, which immediately impacts the farm’s efficiency and profitability,” says Mr. Igor.
Through this service, Igor received 315,000 hryvnias for sprayer retrofitting, which allowed him to significantly optimize the field processing. Installing the flow control system enabled Zdolshchyna’s owner to save 10-15% on chemical products, increase productivity through process automation, ensure precise equipment control, and simplify management through an intuitive interface.
Thanks to this technology, the farmer significantly reduced product expenses and increased yield, made possible by more precise and efficient application of fertilizers and protection products.

WEAGRO is not just a financing service, but also a tool that helps Ukrainian farmers implement innovations, expand farm capabilities, and increase competitiveness. Key advantages of working with WEAGRO include: reliability and transparency of the financing process, as well as support at all stages: from application submission to completion of payments. To conclude an agreement, one only needed to submit an application, after which the online service verifies documents within 30 minutes and approves payment deferral. The main advantages noted by the farmer: quick installment processing without complex bureaucracy; flexible repayment schedule considering agricultural business seasonality; ability to obtain necessary funds on favorable terms without significant financial burden.
Mr. Igor was able to repay the received installment within six months thanks to increased farm efficiency. He noted the importance of WEAGRO service for small farmers, providing quick access to financing without the need for lengthy document collection compared to bank loans. WEAGRO’s agricultural installment allows farmers to focus on their work without spending time on bureaucracy.
The farmer’s plans – further farm modernization. He would like to upgrade his agricultural machinery fleet, which will allow for even more precise crop planting and harvesting and optimize resource use. Technical modernization is a key prospect for increasing production yield and profit.
Additionally, Mr. Igor aims to expand cooperation with digital services for farmers, as he has become convinced that modern financial instruments like WEAGRO enable investment in farm development without excessive financial burden.
Thanks to the WEAGRO online service, the farmer was able to modernize his equipment, optimize costs, and increase profitability. This proves once again that modern financial instruments provide an opportunity for Ukrainian farmers to invest in their business development.
The WEAGRO online service, developed with support from the USAID AGRO Program, has facilitated 116 agreements totaling over 51.9 million UAH since 2024.
